Cochin City opens doors to super luxury

Friday, April 5, 2013

Kochi is all set to be the home of super luxury apartments. Construction of apartments costing around Rs.7 crore is under way in the city. A first-of-its-kind in the city, each flat will be spread over an area exceeding 8,000 square feet.
Eleven apartments, on as many floors, will be built in a 15-storey building, with parking space for three cars per apartment.
Unique concept
The apartment complex at Vazhakkala is one of its kind in Kerala, according to promoters of the project, a real estate venture of a Kochi-based industrial group.
But having enough money to buy the apartment does not mean one can own it.
The buyers will be chosen by the promoters on the basis of a few parameters, a top official of the company told.
The concept, again, is unique in Kerala where the builder generally scouts for buyers.
All the apartments will have high-end amenities such as peripheral gardens in all verandahs, skywalk facility, variant refrigerant flow (VRF) air conditioning and barbeque area.
There are other high-end apartment projects in various parts of the city, but none of them offer the luxury in terms of space.
A super luxury apartment project at Marine Drive, being built by another well-known industrial group offers amenities such as a jogging track of 1.2 km, cycling track, yoga centre, amphitheatre, senior citizen’s corner and billiards and squash courts. Spread over an area of over eight acres, and close to Mangalavanam — the city’s green lung — the apartments with area exceeding 2,200 square feet, are priced in the range of Rs.1.5 crore to Rs.2.5 crore. The project is to be completed by 2015, according to the promoters.
Skyvillas have also been constructed by another real estate group at Panampilly Nagar.
