Dubai driver denies attempting to rape US marine

Dubai Court of First Instance was told the woman was on shore leave and trying to get a taxi from Al Qusais to Sharjah port when the 21-year-old Pakistani driver offered her a lift in his minibus.
The 28-year-old American said: “After ten minutes we reached a dark place. He stopped, moved to the back and kissed me.”
It is then allegedly held a knife to her throat and threatened to kill her. “He ripped off my clothes and bit me but I pus­hed him away and escaped.”
The case was adjourned.
