Mahindra Verito's sub 4-metre version has been doing test runs in India
for quite sometime now, and yesterday the company announced that it will
officially be called as 'Vibe' and will be rolled out in May. The car
has now been caught in Chennai during its test runs by Motor Vikatan.
The exterior of the car were already known to most as it was caught
several times, and in fact some in the industry rendered the images
quite smartly. This time around, the Motor Vikatan managed to click the
interiors of the car, clearing what all changes the car will have inside
the cabin.Interiors of the car remain almost similar to that of the
Verito sedan, however, there are some minor changes in the colour
combination. The AC vents are now black with aluminium finish around
unlike the Verito's silver garnish. The seat fabrics too seem to have
adorned different tone. The knobs too have been chromed. The Verito Vibe
is basically the chopped version of the company's flagship sedan Verito,
however it has been designed quite differently, giving it an appearance
like a notchback. The front fascia of the car however looks similar to
the Verito sedan. Only coming in diesel, the Verito Vibe will derive its
power from the trusted 1.5-litre dCi diesel engine, which also does it
duty to the Verito. The Verito Vibe will sport some first in class
styling elements in this younger and sportier avatar.Speaking on the
‘Verito Vibe’, Pravin Shah, Chief Executive, Automotive Division,
Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, said “Customer centric innovation has
always been at the heart of any product development at the Mahindra
Group. The Verito Vibe marks our entry in the high volume sub 4 metre
segment. While developing this product we have paid particular attention
to making this car look different, and we are sure that it will appeal
to customers with its young and sporty looks and that too without
compromising the benefits which our existing Verito has to offer."
