A court in Mumbai issued non-bailable warrant against Sanjay Dutt in
connection with a complaint filed by movie producer Shakeel Noorani.
Shakeel Noorani is involved in a financial dispute with Sanjay
Dutt and had alleged that he is being threatened by underworld on Sanjay
Dutt's behest.
Noorani seeks damages to the tune of Rs 2.03 crore from the actor for abandoning his film Jaan Ki Baazi.
He had also alleged that Sanjay Dutt had not given dates for shooting
as a result of which the film was incomplete and he had to suffer losses
of Rs 1.53 crore.
The apex Court had recently given Sanjay Dutt a grace period of
four more weeks to surrender in the 1993 Myumbai blasts case. The actor,
who is busy wrapping up his movies in hand, will now surrender in May
to complete the remaining prison term.
